About Andalusia Regional Hospital
Andalusia Regional Hospital, a 2005, 2007 and 2011 recipient of Thomson-Reuters Top 100 Hospital designation, is a 100-bed Joint Commission-accredited Acute Care Facility that has served the heart of South Alabama since 1966. Offering a wide range of diagnostic, therapeutic, emergency and surgical services, the hospital will have a comprehensive cancer center providing services by early summer 2011 on its campus.
Recent improvements include the addition of an 8,000-square-foot Level Three Trauma ER, renovation of the surgical suites, a fixed-base MRI expansion and the addition of a GE 1.5 Tesla MRI with Vascular Console. The hospital also features a fully equipped eight-bed ICU and a 12-bed Inpatient Rehab Unit completed in April 2004. A new Birthing Center has five labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum (LDRP) suites and a C-section suite.
